Studying the Best Practices of Innovation Management in Energy Companies

Graduation thesis assesses the impact of restrictive measures (international sanctions) on russian and foreign power generation companies operating in the Russian Federation, their responses and directions for subsequent adaptation through research methods that companies used to minimize the impact of international sanctions. In order to conduct this study, the following tasks were required to be done: - to analyze the current structure of the power generation industry of the Russian Federation - to study the existing tools of the government facilitation for the power generation industry development of the Russian Federation - identify external constraints that could affect the sustainable development of power generation companies - to conduct the research in the format of interviews with representatives of power generation companies regarding the impact of external restrictions and their consequences for the company - compare the interview results of russian and foreign power generation companies operating in Russia, identify the beast practices of the development of the companies in the face of external constraints The method of in-depth interview, the analysis of expert assessments, as well as the methods of analytical synthesis of information from the scientific, consulting and specialized literature were used as the methodological basis for the study. According to the results of the study, the following results were obtained: - the power generation industry continues to depend on government regulation and is currently unable to develop without regulatory measures to support the investments - sanction restrictions did not significantly affect the operations business of power generation companies in Russia - the program of import substitution and, as a result, localization of production should give a new start for the innovation and development activities of both russian and foreign power generation companies operating in Russia
