Analysis of Influence of Bank's Specialization on their Financial Stability

This paper contributes to ongoing debates about the impact of various factors on the financial stability of banks. It is focused on the development of methods for analyzing the financial stability of a bank with regards to specialization by studying of various approaches to determining financial stability, as well as existing groups of indicators that affect the assessment of financial stability. For this purpose, professional and scientific sources of literature on this topic have been studied. The investigation is based on data from publicly available information and financial statements provided by Central Bank of Russia for the period 2013 – 2018 and on the model construction. As a result, the special aspects of activities of every bank are expected to have a significant influence on bank’s financial stability and should be considered within its assessment.
