Internet-resource for Pollen Grains Investigations Design

The purpose of this paper is to design and develop a web application to store and write data about pollen grains investigations. Using the ontology as the basis allows proposed web application to provide semantic-based search. The program is intended to afford aid to palynologists: to provide the elements of palynology for students and to allow analyze and input results of a work for researchers. The paper consists of four chapters, it uses 34 sources and 4 appendices. The first chapter contains an analysis of the subject area. Second one includes an analysis of methods for solving problems of scientific data, in particular the use of ontologies in solving this problem. The third chapter is devoted to the design of the application. The fourth chapter describes the application development process. The work is presented on 59 pages, including 32 figures and 5 tables.
