Development of Technical Tools for Monitoring the Quality of Information and Telecommunication Systems

Nowadays local computer networks are the most widespread type of info-communication systems. Local networks provide the basis for automation of production and workflow of any enterprise and are the key infrastructure assets for the companies of all scales. The size of local computer networks varies from the simplest setups - a router and a personal computer - to sophisticated networks of a large enterprise, consisting of hundreds of devices with different hardware types and functions. Continuous monitoring of network health and quality of local computer networks is one of the most basic and necessary goals for any enterprise or establishment, which use such networks for conducting their operations. This paper contains: an analysis of contemporary network quality monitoring software solutions; a research into modern methods and tools for network application development; a design of software for monitoring of current state and quality of local network; development of software prototype. During the course of this work modern approaches to the development of network software and its architectural and functional features were studied, and to determine the set of functions of the designed software, a research on popular contemporary solutions was conducted. Final qualifying paper consists of 47 pages, contains 23 illustrations and 1 attachment. 18 sources were used.
