Video "Lizard Lord" (Character Representation)

Student: Ozheredova Valeriya

Supervisor:

Faculty: Faculty of Creative Industries

Educational Programme: Design (Bachelor)

Final Grade: 8

Year of Graduation: 2019

The goal of my graduation project was the development and creation of a 3D model of a new character “LIZARD LORD” based on Russian folk myths and legends of a literary work. The prototype of the character created by me is “The Mistress of the Copper Mountain” - the character of the legends of the Ural miners, the mythical image of the mistress of the Ural Mountains, who became famous in the collection of tales “Malachite Box” P. P. Bazhov. I had to investigate anthropomorphic mythical creatures made with the use of CGI in the entire history of the existence of 3D technologies in modern cinema. The result of a visual study is the book "Anthropomorphic mythical creatures made with the use of CGI." The book discusses the chronology of development of new technologies of creating anthropomorphic 3D characters in the cinema. Thus, this visual study became the basis for the diploma project: a video presentation of 3d character “Lizard Lord” in its habitat.
