In modern world, the appearance plays a big role in the life of every person. Nowadays, in the fashion industry every day there are big changes. Generally, People tend to stand out and shape their image. Basic wardrobe - is the basis of clothing. It is important to note that it is a set of things of simple form and neutral colors, relevant in this place and at this time. A silk scarf «carre» is one of the basic accessories in a woman’s wardrobe, despite its brightness and lightness. The theme of my diploma is «Creating a brand of women's clothing based on the idea of updating the basic wardrobe using vintage scarves». The main goal is to create new forms in clothes using silk fabric, namely, to rethink the idea of a basic wardrobe. The method was to study the square shape of the scarf, its interesting and colorful drawings. Moreover, understand how the composition is formed in a square canvas. The book «Scarves» was written by Nicky Albrechtsen & Fola Solanke played a big role in research. An important point is that this large collection of scarves from all countries made it possible to study the structure of the scarf in more detail. And also the basic shapes and color basics were studied in the concept of «Basic wardrobe». As a result, the thesis will illustrate how a silk scarf can become the basis for clothing, and not only be a bright addition to the image. Clothing combining minimalism and eye-catching vintage, will allow to rethink the idea of a basic wardrobe, creating a new foundation in the fashion industry. All this proves that even two opposites can be combined with each other. Conciseness of forms and vintage luxury. In fact, the base in clothes can also be comfortable and beautiful.
