The paper identifies the general and characteristic features and trends of venture investment in Spain compared with the European Union and Catalonia compared with Spain. Are done analysis and assessment of the current state and prospects of venture investment in Catalonia; are analyzed risks of venture investment typical for Catalonia. Is justified a conclusion about the potential benefits of Russian investments in Catalonia.
