Even though nuclear factor has made the international system more stable, currently states still resort to military power usage against sovereign states to achieve their goals. At the present stage one of the regions where conflicts tend to be resolved via military power is Middle East. This study aims to identify factors that influence military force usage decision-making in British foreign policy against Middle East countries. Research is conducted in neorealist paradigm with the help of rational actor model to analyze the rationality of Great Britain while making the decisions to use military power, examining the examples of Iraq invasion of 2003 and Libyan intervention of 2011. The results of this thesis will contribute to British foreign policy study and help other researches continue to identify and analyze factors that have impact on decision-making on military force usage in other countries.
