Analysis of Indian Savings Structure and Credit System in 2000-2017

Purpose of this study is to identify transformation patterns of saving into investment in India and to evaluate the contributions of savings per sectors to capital formation. To achieve the goals above author characterizes the main development stages of capital market in India, analyzes savings structure and credit structure. Econometric analysis part of the paper serves to reveal contributions of savings per sectors to capital formation of the country and further to estimate the overall contribution of capital accumulation to economic growth.
