Many newspaper poems of Vladimir Mayakovsky are socially significant and reflect contemporary problems because the poet wanted to draw public attention to important problems of the society. Despite researchers' interest in Mayakovsky's work in general and newspaper poems in particular, many of them were not analyzed in connection with the explanatory newspaper context, which definitely appears to be a very important aspect of working with creations which seek to draw public attention to problems of short-term relevancy. The goal of this research is to verify relevancy and conformity to contemporary agenda of Mayakovsky's poems of the late 1920s.
