Educational Programme: Applied Mathematics (Bachelor)

Year of Graduation: 2019

Modern life is inextricably linked with the use of various mobile devices on a daily basis. Their use greatly simplifies the solution of many tasks in various areas of our life. One of the main drawbacks of such devices is the limited operation time without recharging. The creation of energy-efficient interfaces helps to increase the battery life of mobile devices. As part of this final qualification work, existing solutions in the field of energy optimization of graphical user interfaces are considered. A mathematical model describing the process of consuming the battery by the elements of the graphical interface has been built. An algorithm for measuring energy consumption has been developed and implemented. An analysis of the results obtained during computational experiments, recommendations on possible further practical use are given. This study contains a table of contents, introduction, 3 chapters, conclusion, list of references and applications. The total amount of work is 56 pages, excluding an appendix.

Student Theses at HSE must be completed in accordance with the University Rules and regulations specified by each educational programme.

Summaries of all theses must be published and made freely available on the HSE website.

The full text of a thesis can be published in open access on the HSE website only if the authoring student (copyright holder) agrees, or, if the thesis was written by a team of students, if all the co-authors (copyright holders) agree. After a thesis is published on the HSE website, it obtains the status of an online publication.
