Application of Network Analysis to Communication Management of Interior Projects of a Company

Communications play one of the most significant roles in project management as they may directly affect the probability of project success and efficient usage of final product project. Such ongoing processes as increasing scope and complexity of projects, number of multinational companies and influence of external environment lead to the necessity of implementation of more complex approaches to project management. This paper aims to identify key factors that influence efficiency of communication management in internal projects, including distribution of work time and responsibility, and its evaluation incorporating social network analysis methods. Research identifies the most important factors that impact communications in internal projects as well as their interdependency. It was confirmed that distribution of work time and responsibility in projects has an affect on communication efficiency. SNA methods allowed to determine problematic areas of communications and possible ways to improvements of project communication system.
