In Japanese language the term "yokai" means a wide range of folklore creatures. This group includes objects, spirits, demons, ghosts, phantoms and other various supernatural monsters. The task of my graduation project was to come up with a concept and create an identity for a modern festival dedicated to yokai and Japanese folklore. The main resource of visual material were thematic albums brought from Tokyo, as well as archives of museums and private collections, in which you can find prints, postcards and art objects related to the theme.
