Guidelines for Virtual Teams Management with Software Development

Last decade more and more organizations are beginning to attract remote specialists, creating virtual teams, while working on various projects. Researchers of virtual teams often do not focus on scope, which they working on, instead of it they extrapolate the results of research to all types of teams. The main goal of this work is the research of virtual project teams that involved in the software development, and creation of guidelines for managing them. In process of research, members of virtual teams that are involved in software development projects took part in a survey, which revealed factors that should be considered when managing virtual teams. As a result of research methodical recommendations were developed. These guidelines will allow project managers to avoid some of the problems in process of managing virtual teams.
