In the modern world where every information could be found on the Internet, libraries go through a tough patch. There is a need to attract people’s attention and to create a new communication strategy otherwise libraries are at a risk to disappear. As there is a gap in numerous studies on Russian libraries that offer no insight on how communication is being built but provide an old and barely represented data about working and learning in library. So, the purpose of the proposed research project is to investigate and determine communication strategy of Russian libraries. The case-study method will be used to select and analyze how two Moscow’s libraries with common soviet history changed to become closer to their readers but did not change its value as a center of knowledge. Therefore, qualitative data analysis will be used to analyze employees’ interviews and internet reviews from readers or visitors.
