Between 2006 and 2018, China and North Korea had gone through several stages in developing bilateral relations. From late 2006 to mid-2008 there was a slow development tempo after the first nuclear test by North Korea. From 2009 to 2012, relations were on thier peak, deteriorating after 2013 and going to the new height in late 2017.
