Project Managers' Competencies in the Property Development Company

This final qualification work is devoted to the competency description of project managers in the property development companies and identification of differences in competencies depending on type of the project. The results of the analysis indicate that there are no statistically significant differences between the competencies of managers involved in projects of various size. However, differences in project manager’s competencies of with different quality levels of project implementation are statistically significant. The research has shown that the implementation quality of the project depends not only on competency level of project managers and their communication skills, but also on personal qualities of managers. Moreover, this study contains recommendations for the development of competencies of project managers in the property development companies, namely the formation of a system of development of competencies, including conducting periodic assessments of the level of competencies, drawing up individual plans for the development of competencies and monitoring their implementation.
