This paper discusses the development of an electronic device that incorporates programmable components and rewritable memory modules. For this class of devices, an effective design method is described and applied in practice, the typical and refined design routes are developed. The key result of this study is the development of a unique method for assessing the reliability of flash-memory based devices.
