Following the tireless progressive movement of scientific and technological progress, the Russian telecommunications market is actively developing. This leads to the fact that companies in this sector are required to respond quickly to these changes. This is one of the functions of strategic planning. In recent years, there has been an increase in this market and increased competition in it. All companies in this sector of the economy strive to ensure the best possible quality of the services provided, and also strive to expand their product range. Among the latest emerging concepts in the field of information technology can be identified Internet of Things. It is assumed that the Internet of things will become one of the most sought-after technologies in the near future. Therefore, now companies, and in particular MTS PJSC, need to take steps in this direction and implement strategic decisions in order to be the first to occupy a niche in a potentially successful sector of a new, still emerging market. The informational basis of the study was data from the Ministry of Construction of the Russian Federation, data from the Moscow government, materials of scientific conferences, scientific publications and monographs, materials of electronic Internet resources, research materials, and publications in periodicals. Of particular importance in the course of the study were the data, reports and materials of PJSC "MTS". The structure of the work is determined by the purpose of the research and objectives. The work consists of introduction, three chapters, conclusion and bibliography.
