The main method of the study is historical research, but it also includes interviewing, observation and literature studying. The research allows to identify the key aspects of understanding ballet, namely the history of stereotypes connected with it, real little known details of the ballet world’s organization, scientific view of the problem and a lot of visual material that allows to highlight the main aesthetic aspects of the studied subject. According to the results of the study, ballet is not a piece of art about gentle young girls in nice dresses as it is considered to be among people who are not brought up to date. It is about hard trainings, physical and psychological pressure that weeds out weak people and keeps strong ones in the game, about the contrast of solemn atmosphere of the scene and the backstage routine and so on. All this aspects serve as a source for creating a fashion collection.
