The Factors of Electoral Participation at the Settlement Level in Russia

In the framework of this research were identified factors of electoral participation at the settlement level in Russia. Theoretical and methodological approaches to the study of electoral participation were considered. Thus, limitations and opportunities were identified when studying turnout at the settlement level. It is worth noting that the turnout at the local level is of a mobilization nature. Via of a number of regression models, it was concluded that voter turnout was largely influenced by political factors, including the presence of parties and the presence of a municipal campaign in the district. At the same time, institutional and local factors did not show their significance.
