The Concept of “Societies of Control” in Contemporary Political Philosophy

The paper seeks to analyze the notion of control in contemporary political thought. Starting from the analysis of Gilles Deleuze's 'Postscript on the Societies of Control', the author provides an interpretation some basic concepts of the text and also gives a critical analysis of Michel Foucault's concept of disciplinary societies. Besides, the notions of control in cybernetics and philosophy are compared and some categories of political philosophy are redefined.
