Year of Graduation: 2019

This graduation work is devoted to improvement of economic efficiency of a transport forwarding company through freight management automation. The issues of optimization are highlighted in the project’s general part. The study of economic effectiveness has become an important aspect of the sphere of logistics. Progress in logistics development has been made to the point that the innovation is necessary to improve economic efficiency. Transport forwarding companies are responsible for the whole process of delivery, and speed, safety and minimal costs are the main aims of all the companies. The example of health-care logistics can confirm importance of these factors. If the company has to deliver medicine, it must observe required temperature and other special conditions not only during the period of transportation but of the loading too. If these conditions are not met, the medicine may become damaged and spoiled, which can lead to serious consequences including death of a sick person waiting for the cure. Another important factor is that the cargo has to be delivered as early as possible. So, the delivery has to be profitable for both sides: the customer and the courier. In this research the side of the pharmacological firm as in an example is not being considered. Therefore, in this work the economic efficiency improvement of transport forwarding company will be analyzed. The graduation project consists of an explanatory note on 88 pages, divided on the introduction, 3 chapters, including 17 figures and 7 tables, the conclusion, the list of 52 references and 2 appendices. Keywords: Economic efficiency; Transport forwarding company; Logistics.
