Social entrepreneurship is becoming an increasingly popular and replicable concept in the study of social and non-profit organizations. Despite the growing recognition of this concept, both in the private and public sector, little is known about which individual characteristics can describe or explain who in society can be (or has already become) a social entrepreneur. To solve this issue in my research, I attempted an empirical analysis of the portrait of a social entrepreneur in the Nizhny Novgorod region. Over the past 2018, the topic of social entrepreneurship has become increasingly paid by the state structures. Including in Nizhny Novgorod, the number of participants in various competitions and events on this subject has rapidly increased. Gradually, the administration, in particular of Nizhny Novgorod, begins to understand the degree of importance and the opportunities that can be obtained from the already-named so in the whole developed world as the “third sector” of the economy. Representatives for the work and assistance of the joint venture appear more and more in the region, various events are taking place that teach how to be a joint venture, provide all types and forms of support. The purpose of this study is to analyze the features of the portrait of a social entrepreneur - analysis of the profile of a social entrepreneur of the Nizhny Novgorod region, its values, motivation and the conditions in which the entrepreneur carries out activities, and their comparison with similar components of social entrepreneurs from other regions of Russia.
