The process of removing industrial zones outside the city was launched from the late 1990s in Moscow. Since the early 2000s, some unused areas have been transformed into creative clusters. This is an established trend that has been going on for more than 10 years. In this connection, it is important to determine how the territory was built with a new semantic content (creative cluster) in the existing structure of the city, whether the cluster has an impact on its environment. The issue considers three creative clusters, each of which has its own tendency of formation and development, especially in functional content and spatial organization. With the help of qualitative research methods, the specificity of the impact of clusters on the surrounding areas is determined, as well as the distinctive features of the creative cluster as a function of the urban area.
