Concept of Perspective Development of Caravan Center

Visual research with the theme “The principles of forming an equestrian facility” is a research project describing the historical formation of horse related architecture. The main objectives for the research were to find the origins of the architecture created for equestrian facilities, analyze the evolution of the facilities and find out the reasons why do people need this type of architecture. The author of the research analyzed the information from different sources, such as relevant literature, plans of stables, sport arenas, hippodromes from different periods and different areas. Collecting all of this information, the advantages and disadvantages of modern “equestrian architecture” were found. The process of finding all the necessary information became a vast part of the research. The author based the research on the literature and architectural plans stored in the Shchusev State Museum of Architecture, dissertations of PhDs and Doctors of architecture were also helpful, as well books about the evolution of equestrian facilities and the books written by art critics and architects. As a result, the research contains the information that leads to the development of the diploma project with the theme “Concept of Perspective Development of “Caravan” equestrian facility”. The main goal for the diploma project is to create scenario for the development of the “Caravan” Center. The scenario includes all of the functions that help make the center a comfortable place not only for the guests, but also for the denizens of the facility. The diploma project consists of several parts: analysis of territory (location of Equestrian Sports Complex “Caravan”, general information, photo report, and existing plans), problems and solutions (source data analysis, problem identification, and proposed solutions), space zoning, development of a design scenario, visualization of the concept.
