Development of a Program of the Automated Extraction of Data From Different Format Tables

This work describes the process of developing a program for the automated extraction of tabular data from PDF documents to Excel. The main purpose of the program is facilitating and speeding up the human mechanical work. This purpose was reached by using an automated document processing procedure. This research includes the analysis of existing methods and technologies for extracting tabular data from electronic documents. It also describes existing methods to convert tabular data into the required format. This paper discusses the shortcomings of existing technologies. As a result of analysis and research, a proprietary algorithm for extracting spreadsheets of different formats from PDF documents was developed. The result of this work is the creation of the program that performs the procedures for searching and automated processing of tabular information from PDF documents, its conversion and output to Excel documents. The volume of this work is 53 pages, the number of illustrations is 38. In the bibliography there is a list of 18 used sources.
