Organizational and Ontological Structure of Post-conceptual Art Projects

This paper describes the structural organization of post-conceptual art projects, highlighting the main characteristics of such projects. This is primarily the inheritance of the conceptual line of art, attention to the conditions of its own production, a critical rethinking of aesthetics, as well as frequent fictionalization and collectivity of projects. However, it is important to understand that the term “post-conceptual” does not imply a direct change of mode from conceptual to post-conceptual, as, for example, occurs with direct non-conceptual art. Post-conceptualism is not a chronological term characterized by a specific date, but a critical concept implying a particular mode of art. This is a transhistorical term, which, of course, owes its appearance to conceptual developments, but it itself contains a critical impulse for retrospective analysis and revision of past projects.
