Supplier Evaluation and Selection System Development

Supplier selection process has an important role in the company activity, since the cost of raw materials and components is the main cost of the product, and most companies are forced to spend a significant part of their revenues on purchases. Supplier selection is one of the most significant decision-making problems, including a lot of criteria for identifying contractors with the greatest potential to meet firm needs and at an affordable price. The present project is devoted to supplier evaluation and selection system development of contractors of «Покровский хлеб», engaged in the production of bakery and confectionery products. The system was developed using the hierarchy analysis method. After the main criteria for evaluating suppliers has been established a hierarchical structure, and the weights of alternative suppliers have been calculated using MPriority 1.0 program. The supplier with the highest rating is selected for cooperation.
