The West Sahara issue is one of the protracted regional conflicts that involved regional forces. The problem of Western Sahara has become an intractable contradiction not only between Morocco and the Frente Polisario, but also affected all the countries of the Maghreb. It has a negative impact on international relations, a serious danger to stability in the Maghreb region, and creates considerable obstacles to its integration. The negative influence of the West Sahara conflict on the situation in the Maghreb and on interstate relations has prompted its direct participants to search for ways to resolve it by peaceful political means.
