Elizaveta Sidorova, BFL 151 Advisor: B.M. Gasparov, PhD Saint Petersburg 2019   Over the past few years, the works of Sergey Dovlatov have gained much more significant distribution and popularity than during the life of the writer. However, with regard to the research works of Dovlatov, both literary and linguistic, it cannot be argued that there are enough of them. In this regard, it is advisable to make an interdisciplinary research: analyze the main works of Dovlatov in the context of the epoch, make a discursive analysis and on the basis of this make a so-called “language portrait” of the writer Sergey Dovlatov. This work is devoted to this - to identify and characterize the features of the language of the prose works of Sergey Dovlatov. The work describes the key linguistic aspects that the writer uses in his works, and also provides specific examples. The result of the study is the definition of Sergey Dovlatov in the literature of the second half of the twentieth century from a linguistic point of view.
