The Strategies of the Professionalization of the Hand-made Craftsmen in Instagram (Based on the Analysis of the Blogs from St. Petersburg)

Today, Instagram is considered one of the most popular social networks in the world. And all thanks to the fact that Instagram is constantly evolving and not standing still. More recently, Instagram all followed the life of celebrities, then the focus shifted to people who run an interesting blog, and now Instagram has become a marketplace that offers unique and rare products, which undoubtedly include hand-made goods. This work will be devoted to the analysis of career strategies of people involved in hand-made and promoting the product of their activities on the Instagram platform. In this study, I would like to know how the hand-made masters turned into professionals in their field, what determines their level of professionalism, and also how they decided to turn their creativity into a business using the Instagram network. To achieve this goal, it is planned to use qualitative research methods, namely, semi-structured interviews and analysis of blogs.
