Linguacultural Analysis of Heroes and Villains in Russian Fairy Tales

In the presented thesis our aim is to discover the link between the Russian language and culture in Russian fairy tales by conducting the linguacultural analysis of heroes and villains. Linguacultural fields “heroes in Russian fairy tales” and “villains in Russian fairy tales” are formed. The collected lexemes and linguaculturemes used in texts in descriptions of the characters are analyzed and their cultural connotations are described. The analysis revealed the relationship between the linguacultural image of the characters of fairy tales and the cultural and historical background of the country.
