Rapid socio-economic development raised the problem of the destruction of the human environment and the depletion of natural resources. Population of developed countries rethink their behavior, taking into account the environmental aspect. Saving consumption of energy resources can be caused not only by the price of electricity, but also by concern for the environment, that fits into the concept of ethical consumerism. The purpose of the study is to identify factors that affect the energy-saving consumption of Russians and Europeans. The analysis was carried out on the data of the European Social Survey, 2016. Cluster analysis was used for constructing types of climate change perception. Research was focused on the group of those who are very concerned about climate change and who feel personal responsibility for reducing climate change. The main result is that energy-efficient consumption depends on people's perception of climate change, keeping all other parameters constant (in particular with control of electricity price).
