The Concept for the Development of Business Education Programs in a Technical University

Author analyzed a necessity of the development of business education for the economics of the Samara region as one of the tasks of the Samara State Technical University as a flagship university. Сonclusion is a necessary to development programs, including business education programs, which are connected with the goals of the Strategy for Socio-Economic Development of the Samara Region until 2030 and scientific educational center of the region. Author explored indicators of the Faculty of Engineering and Economics as a platform for implementing business education programs. Author analyzed trends in business education in Russia and abroad. Author organized a survey of industrial partners - potential students of the program for the aim of forming a set of demanded competencies and other options of the programs. Author developed the structure of the business education program “Management Challenges in the Digital Economy” in the amount of 72 hours, and business education program “Digital Economy and Entrepreneurship” in the amount of 1800 hours. Author did competitive analysis, diagnostics of the mesomedium of the environment, calculated the cost of the program and analyzed risks.
