The theoretical research was conducted on the basis of normative legal acts and scientific literature. The study was conducted by analyzing the current legislation of the Russian Federation and international legal acts. The relevance of this final qualification work is due to the need to study the legal basis of the human right to gender identity in view of the growing interest of people around the world in the implementation of this right. The issue under study is characterized by a number of features and problems directly related to legal regulation, which is the subject of analysis from both scientific and practical points of view.
