The relevance of this work consists in the growth of cross-border online trade of goods and its positive impact on the development of medium and small enterprises around all over the world. In the work the Russian and foreign Internet market are covered, as well as their impact on the development of medium and small businesses. The statistical assessment of trends conducive to the development of cross-border e-commerce was carried out, and the system of basic aspects that affect the work of Russian e-commerce. As a result, it was justified that in order to stimulate the potential of small and medium-sized enterprises, it is necessary to develop online trading, providing a comfortable regulatory and strong market environment, which allows SMEs to receive a big range of tools for promoting and selling products.
