The ways of influence on modern Japanese lexis made by English language exemplified by popular Japanese web-magazines

The aim of this paper is to determine the characteristics and the functions of the borrowing process occurring in the modern Japanese language. The relevance of the topic is presented with the proceeding active borrowing process of anglicisms in the XXI century, their extended functions and with the increase in the number of lexical substitution’s cases made by the English words. For achieving the stated aim there was conducted a research in order to determine the frequency of loanwords usage in popular Japanese web-magazines and to find the tendencies in the ways and functions of the loanwords usage in the resources. Based on the results, was made a conclusion on the role of the anglicisms in the modern Japanese language system.
