Legal Aspects of Information Security in the Internet of Things

The Internet of things is one of those technologies that are changing our world. Various connected devices, sensors help people in everyday life, but at the same time they collect information about him and about the environment, and thus the information security issues of the Internet of things come to the fore. The current legal regulation does not contain rules that relate to many issues related to the information security of the Internet of things. This study includes an introduction, three chapters, and a conclusion. The introduction describes background, goal, tasks, scope of research and research methods. In the first chapter, attention is paid to the concept of the Internet of things, its meaning and identification of the need for legal regulation of this sphere. The second chapter reveals the threats of the Internet of things associated with the lack of legal regulation of its information security. The third chapter deals with existing approaches to the legal support of information security in Russia and foreign countries, as well as proposes new approaches. In conclusion, the study summarizes and draws conclusions. According to the results of the study, the author concludes that serious work is needed on the legal regulation of the sphere of information security of the Internet of things, especially in the context of using the collected data.
