The presented work considers the genre of popular science from the goals and objectives of this field to specific creative popular science projects and the creation of my own media product – broadcast on popular science topic. The academic part analyzes the state of popular science: problems within this field, goals, possible solutions, historical retrospect, the relationship between science and media, scientific communication as a discipline and existing popular science formats. The stages of the creation of media project «IXTATI» are presented in the project note as well as the role of the author in it, audience analysis, competitive environment and future development of the project. The media product itself is a pilot issue of a popular science program on the topic "The theory of intraspecific aggression". The topic is located at the intersection of psychology and biology and considers the foundations of human existence, which makes it relevant and significant.
