The study is devoted to investigating the peculiarities of the domestic violence representation in the Russian media based on the cases of Oleg Sokolov and Margarita Gracheva. The author analyzes the presentation of the two high-profile cases of domestic violence from the point of view of emotionally superficial public discourse, influence on public opinion and censorship in the media. The study will provide a comparative analysis of differences in the coverage of these cases by the main information transmission channels: state TV channels, independent media, YouTube-channels, statements of journalists and opinion leaders in social networks.
