Development of a Hardware-software Complex for Fixing Concussion of Professional Athletes in Contact Sports

The master’s thesis presents description of a device for concussion detection of athletes. The paper identifies the problem of concussions in sports, provides a review of criteria and tools for assessing the severity of traumatic brain injuries. The algorithm of operation and composition of the device is described, the design of the receiving and transmitting modules is developed, and the design rules for the manufacturing of printed circuit boards are given. In the course of work, 49 literary sources were used. The work contains 15 figures, 6 tables and an Appendix of 9 sheets. Keywords: wearable electronics, head impact monitoring, acceleration measurement.
