This study is an econometric analysis of factors that influence the age at which individuals are married in the Russian Federation. As a database, we used the survey data from the Russian Monitoring of the Economic Situation and Health of the Population (RLMS) for the period from 2011 to 2018. The Tobit model was used as the final model and the male and female samples were considered separately. As a result of the study, the following interconnections of factors on the age of marriage were revealed: people with a high level of health are more likely to get married, as are people who are satisfied with their life and financial situation. Having a job brings a man closer to marriage and a woman the opposite, and a high income does not reduce the age at marriage for both genders. The presence and level of education for men has no effect, and in the case of women it reduces the age of marriage by an average of more than a year.
