Making of a Documentary Film About the Genre of a Musical on a Russian Stage: Producing, Filming, Directing

My work is connected with the sphere of musical industry in Russia. The general purpose of this work is to demonstrate the historical significance of this new theatrical genre in Russia and its prospective future. The methods utilized are reviewing and analyzing theoretical literature, historical sources, and video content related to musicals in Russia and the main used approach is expert video interviewing. During our industry research, we find a problem that there was little information about the musical genre over the past 4 years. So, in this case, we decided to update information, to create a documentary about past and future development of the musical genre on the Russian stage. The interview will be recorded on video. Therefore, the methodology of the creative project includes writing a script, editing sheet, organizing the shooting process, and editing the footage. Results are determined.
