Films of the comic movie genre nowadays are one of the most profitable and widespread not only in Hollywood, but also around the world. If we take a look at the list of the 100 highest-grossing films, we can see that almost 30% of them are films based on comics. However, before creating a boom on the global film industry, this genre went a long way in artistic enrichment through the prism of important historical and socio-economic events (the Great Depression, the Cold War, etc.). Comic movies still reflects the current mass sentiments of the twenty-first century such as feminism, racism, gender equality, etc.Having come a long way from the 70s to the present day, this genre has evolved through the influence of mass historical and cultural events on it, and also reflected the national specifics of various peoples. Despite the fact that the list of cinematic comics contains many “superhero films” (Superman, Batman, Spider-Man), it is customary in the society to mistakenly identify the two cinema genres. So, many of them narrate or mention various historical figures ("300 Spartans") during the story or take as the basis for the plot of fictional characters who are not related to superheroics and superpowers ("Sin City").
