Digital technologies are widely used to improve efficiency and transparency in all areas of society. Nowadays digital transformation of health care is a key area of development for all of the countries. The process of informatization of health care is aimed at creating a single digital space which provides a turnover of medical information to support medical decision-making, easy access of patients to their medical information, the development of telemedical technologies and optimization of all processes in the industry. Although many countries have already implemented digital technologies to support individual healthcare processes, a comprehensive, effective platform solution for integrated healthcare processes has not yet been developed. Healthcare informatization systems are implemented in each country taking into account its unique characteristics, specifications and policies. The purpose of this work is to develop recommendations for improving the information support system in the Russian Federation through a study of eHealth systems in the Russian Federation and Australia and their comparative analysis. Although the health information systems of these countries have similar features, national goals and their implementation in the field of eHealth are very different. This contrast provides a good opportunity to identify problems and consequences of both approaches, which can be used to find better solutions, identify critical obstacles and provide proposals for adaptation of eHealth in our country.
