In our time, the activities of any activist are evaluated in two ways. Very often, even the most noble actions or harmless phenomena are subjected to defamation by the media. Greta Thunberg, a 17 – year-old environmental activist, is one of the most discussed figures in the global media industry. "Person of the year" according to TIME magazine, a nomination for the Nobel peace prize, getting into the list of the best scientists of the year according to Nature magazine – this is not the entire list of merits of the Swedish schoolgirl. Many politicians, media personalities and representatives of the media expose Greta Thunberg's activities to defamation. The audience's attitude to the environmental activist from Sweden, Greta Thunberg, and the resonant speech of a Russian schoolboy in the Bundestag, Nikolai Desyatnichenko, can be traced around the world and is expressed in various ways: from critical statements and ridicule to respect and delight. The scientific novelty of the topic is that such research has not been conducted before. Scientific works that have similarities in the names of topics were devoted to the construction of images of the state, the study of the features of linguistic units in the messages of heads of state, or defamation of the image of the state. The paper analyzes publications in the media, which allows us to identify various frames that construct the image.
