Distance Education Course Development

The project work is aimed at developing a distance learning course for schoolchildren, “Fundamentals of photo and video shooting”. In addition to the practical part, the author presents a theoretical study on the development of the distance education industry. The theoretical part examines the history and classification of online courses, the relevance of the online education market in Russia and pedagogical approaches to creating distance learning courses. It shows advantages of distance education and disadvantages with ways to negotiate them. In the practical part, the target audience of the course, goals and objectives were determined, a review of analogues was conducted, a review of platforms for creating online courses was conducted, the structure of the course was compiled and the process of creating visual content was described. The result of the project — the distance education course is available online on the Stepik educational platform. The product is ready to be used by the author for educational purposes.
