In the era of digitalization, the analysis of multimodal idioms and channels in political discourse has received wide attention in scientific realms. Ample research conducted in this field indicates the most significant features of political discourse and its multimodal aspects. Previous studies have shown an increased role of multimodal idioms in political discourse and their influence on the voters. The aim of this study is to analyze the most crucial multimodal aspects and their function in the electoral campaign of Donald Trump and Volodymyr Zelensky. To achieve this goal, we will examine the methods and channels of communication such as posts on Twitter, political billboards, and media coverage of the elections from the multimodal perspective. Having this aim in mind, we will employ content analysis, media analysis, discourse analysis of the language of mass media and social networks, and comparative analysis. The findings of this paper may advance knowledge in the field of multimodality and extend the line of research in regard to the modern political trends and directions in some Eastern European countries and the U.S.
