Development of Business Plan for the Touristic Startup BeLocal

The purpose of the work is to create a business plan for a desired startup called ‘BeLocal’, which is on a deeper level will be useful to define relevant market structure, customer value proposition, organizational structure, financial plan, KPIs, risks and contents of other parts of the plan for both internal understanding of them and potentially showing results to investors. To perform that, qualitative assessment of different approaches to making a BP and each of its elements has been done through consolidation of existing techniques and experts’ (in this case, researchers of the topic, entrepreneurs, business angels, etc.) opinions and aligning them to the startup for choosing the best ones. As a preliminary result, structure of the BP was formed and best practices for defining each of its elements were chosen (for example, for financials, forecasting of returns practices). Then, as an ultimate result, all the elements of the document were completed and conclusions on the viability of the project and ways of development were determined. The paper consists of analysis of theory on how to create business plans and more specific areas, such as principles of defining goals and KPIs, and a practical solution in the form of BP creation for the startup.
